Our volunteers are the heart of our events. Each role plays an important part in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for our guests. Please take a moment to review the opportunities below and select the one that best fits your skill set.
Bus Captains
Be the first friendly face our guests meet!
- Share key housekeeping information during transit
- Bring the shipyard to life with a guided, scripted tour
- Help protect private information by reminding guests of our no-photography policy
Greeters, Seaters & SWAG Team
Set the tone with a warm welcome.
- Greet arriving guests with a smile, offering water, flags, and memorabilia
- Direct guests to their seating areas
- Lend a hand to anyone who may need extra assistance
Parking, Crowd & Safety Management
Keep everything running smoothly and safely.
- Guide guests with clear directions in parking and transit areas
- Manage lines, crowds, and boarding processes with hospitality
- Support safety protocols throughout the event
- Assist with transportation for guests with medical needs (valid driver’s license required)
Together, these roles ensure our guests feel valued, cared for, and connected throughout their visit to Ingalls Shipbuilding.
